Spring 2026 News!
Zero Station is moving out of East Bayside the end of May.
The gallery/exhibition space is closing & the framing and digital printing workshops are relocating, we will still be in Portland, Maine.
We will be saddened to leave this beautifully built out, and often redesigned space that was just a dirty taxi garage when we came on the scene in 2002 (gas pumps 15 feet from the front door and all). This was the second location but truly the “home” for the gallery for over 22 years. This pictured iteration of our real show space lasted almost six years and we are proud of what we have done all these years.
What to ExpectThe Framing and Printing will still be located here in Portland -details forthcoming. Please sign up on the home page to receive updates, we will provide directions when the time comes.
❋ Intentional StructureBecause we are artists with a diversity of skills, we are happy to be offering our services in a space we have built and love to work within. Keeping our overhead lower will help us meet the needs of artists who will continue to be exhibiting in galleries near and far as well as encourage as many people to buy local art to make their houses truly homes.
❋ Collaborative EnergyAs builders and curators we have seen Zero Station as a tool for curation in that it means to care for objects, and by extention the artists and collectors we work with.
❋ Expert FacilitationKeith Fitzgerald has been providing quality art services for over 30 years, including but not limited to; custom wood framing, digital printing, photo mounting, display consulting and installation. He will continue to be here to meet your needs as always one on one.
❋ A Supportive SpaceAlthough we are losing our public space we will remain invested in our community in every way possible.
“Today everybody is talking about the fact that we live in one world; because of globalization, we are all part of the same planet. They talk that way, but do they mean it? We should remind them that the words of the Declaration [of Independence] apply not only to people in this country, but also to people all over the world. People everywhere have the same right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. When the government becomes destructive of that, then it is patriotic to dissent and to criticize - to do what we always praise and call heroic when we look upon the dissenters and critics in totalitarian countries who dare to speak out.”
