The Loaded Brush: A Conversation & Film Screening with artists Natasha Mayers, Robert Shetterly & Doug Rawlings/ Veterans for Peace

  • Zero Station 222 Anderson Street Portland, ME, 04101 United States (map)

In addition to this special screening of An Un-Still Life we plan to hold a memorable conversation among our distinguished guests and members in the audience. The discussion will center on art, activism, the impacts and complicated role of military and war on our cultural, economic, environmental and psychic landscape. Please join us, We have much to learn from our speakers who are artists and authors, but also from the veterans who are our friends and neighbors.

Invited Guests include:

Natasha Mayers, the Artist/activist and founder of ARRT (Artist Rapid Response Team) whose work is currently on view in the gallery in the exhibiton Tell It Slant.

Robert Shetterly, Artist, Robert is best known for his portrait series Americans Who Tell the Truth and is also seen in the film.

Doug Rawlings, Author and current President of Veterans for Peace

In addition to these three distinguished guests we hope to also have the filmmakers and other members of Veterans for Peace in the audience to have a well rounded conversation.

We are planning on an in person event. While we hope the weather will cooperate so we can have the doors open, we think remaining masked as an audience participant will be wise. Please keep an eye on the website or sign up to our mailing list for updates. The doors will be open from 5:30 on.
