If we read the landscape around us as a book or a poem, artists are most capable of taking a segment of that beauty and putting it on a page. Each almost unknowingly take excerpts in ways unique to them. Presenting ‘landscape’ was not initially the goal of this exhibition, however ‘views from here’ is just that. That said, none of this work will conjure ‘Maine landscape’ in the ways most common. Instead what you will find is poetry.
